How do I set Ethereum and ERC20 custom transaction fees?

How do I set custom Ethereum network fees?

The custom fee you choose is the maximum fee that you might pay. In many cases, the gas for your transaction will cost less than the fee chosen, and any extra ETH will be returned to your wallet.

Mobile

In your Ethereum wallet, tap on the Settings icon in the top right corner.

Toggle on Custom Fees.

Tap on the Send icon.

a) Enter the amount you wish to send, and b) tap Enter.

Tap on Advanced.

Now you will see a slider:

  • a) Slide it to the left to pay a lower fee (will confirm slower)
  • b) Slide it to the right to pay a higher fee (will confirm faster)
  • c) You can also click manually input your custom fee by tapping the Pencil icon.

 

Desktop

In your Ethereum wallet, click Send.

Click Show Advanced in the top left corner to enable the advanced sending options.

Now you will see a slider:

  • a) Slide it to the left to pay a lower fee (will confirm slower)
  • b) Slide it to the right to pay a higher fee (will confirm faster)
  • c) You can also manually input your custom fee by clicking the Pencil icon.
Web3 Wallet

In your Ethereum wallet, click Send.

a) Paste in the address you want to send the funds to, then enter the amount you wish to send. To set a custom fee, b) click on the arrow next to Estimated Network Fee.

a) Use the slider to set your custom fee, then b) click Confirm. Note that a lower transaction fee will take longer to confirm, and if the fee is too low your transaction could get stuck. A transaction with a higher fee will confirm faster.
