Updating the firmware on your qadirah Trezor hardware wallet can be done directly from your wallet if you are using a Trezor Model T.
If FEX detects your Trezor hardware wallet’s firmware is out of date it will not connect and prompt you to update the firmware.
Before you continue, make sure you have your Trezor recovery phrase on hand. Updating your firmware from version 2.0.10 or older may wipe your Trezor, so you will need to use your Trezor recovery phrase in order to restore your funds.
- Unplug your Trezor hardware wallet
- To initiate the firmware update, plug your Trezor back in and immediately swipe down or up the Model T touch screen before the lock screen appears. This will enable “bootloader mode” and allow you to update your firmware.
- Click the green checkmark on the screen to start the firmware update process.
DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR DEVICE, doing so will erase and damage the wallet.
- Once complete the device will restart and automatically connect after entering your PIN. Your Qadirah wallet will now recognize and connect to your Trezor
How do I hide or reveal my qadirah hardware portfolios?
FEX will display your Trezor portfolio in watch-only mode if your Trezor is not plugged in. Qadirah means you can view your hardware portfolio balance and transactions, but you won’t be able to spend or exchange your Trezor held funds.
If you wish to hide your Trezor portfolio so it does not appear in the Qadirah interface, go to Settings > Devices then under Hardware Wallets choose the name of your hardware wallet then click HIDE.
How does this qadirah cryptocurrency work behind-the-scenes?
If you only read one sentence, make it this one: A hardware wallet is the biggest step you can take to secure your funds. If you were to go all the way to Tier 4: “The Fort Knox”, devoting an entire computer only to running FEX Wallet in a secure environment, it would be about as effective as a hardware wallet.
The Trezor One and Trezor Model T hardware wallets are both supported within FEX. Before you buy, please take a look at the list of Trezor-supported assets to make sure that your portfolio is covered.
